The knowledge brokering mechanism Eklipse, a partner of BioAgora in developing the Science Service of Biodiversity (SSBD), is inviting applications from experts to join the Eklipse Methods Expert Group (MEG). The MEG is a core Eklipse governance body composed of experts in knowledge synthesis and engagement methods.
MEG members serve the following roles:
- аdvise the Eklipse Expert Working Groups (EWGs) on the most appropriate knowledge synthesis and engagement methodologies to address policy-relevant questions, including their strengths, limitations, costs and feasibility
- support the scoping phase and development of methodological protocols for Eklipse requests
- ensure methodological choices are robust, transparent, ethical and fit-for-purpose, in line with the Eklipse process
- contribute to the continuous development and improvement of knowledge synthesis methods at the science–policy interfacе
- co-author methodological guidance, reports and scientific publications
- collaborate within an international, interdisciplinary expert community
Applications are welcomed from experts with demonstrated experience in:
- knowledge synthesis and/or engagement methods
- working at the science–policy interface
- applied, interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary research
- policy-relevant assessments (EU or international level)
Candidacies can be submitted via this link until 08 February 2026 for a period in office between mid-February 2026 and February 2029. The desired commitment is approx. 10% of the selected applicants' time, with a maximum of 1 request per year for which they serve as lead contact point and another single request for which they fulfil the duties of a secondary advisor.
