In October 2025, four major institutions in the biodiversity research landscape: TDWG, GBIF, OBIS and GEO BON, will come together as the organisers of the Living Data 2025 conference. 

The event is set to be among one of the most crucial international gatherings of the year for experts and stakeholders in the field of biodiversity data. Taking place place in the Colombian capital of Bogotá between 21st and 24th, Living Data 2025 will centre around four core themes:

  • Open data
  • Data integration
  • Biodiversity data application
  • Community engagement and capacity-building


A number of representatives from the BioAgora project will be involved as active participants at this important 4-day event. On the one hand, members of the Knowledge Exchange Network for Biodiversity Monitoring will present their work on numerous occasions within the programme. Specifically, the Network's lead expert, Maria Blasi (CREAF), is set to present project-relevant insights and outputs on three separate occasions:


The last symposium will be co-hosted by BioAgora partner Pensoft Publishers, who will also display BioAgora materials at a dedicated stand on the exhibition floor. More details on the Living Data 2025 conference and its agenda can be found here.
