Workshop: Unlocking Transformative Potential in Agroecology (Online)

21 Feb 2025
Online

Europe’s food and farming systems are at a critical juncture. Agroecological approaches hold great promise for enhancing biodiversity, food quality, and ecosystem health. Yet, their widespread adoption has been slower than needed to address current environmental and social challenges.

The BioAgora Project, funded under Horizon Europe, is developing core functions for a future EU Science Service for Biodiversity (SSBD) that will strengthen science-policy-society interfaces across Europe. As part of this mission, we are organizing a series of workshops focused on biodiversity-enhancing landscapes and agriculture.

We invite you to join a collaborative workshop where scientists and practitioners will reflect on advancing agroecological practices and explore what drives or hinders transformative change. This interactive session will provide practical tools to evaluate and strengthen the transformative potential of your projects and networks. Through guided discussions, you’ll exchange perspectives with peers, gain deeper insights into systemic change, and identify actionable pathways for accelerating the agroecological transition.

By participating, you will:

  • Gain tools to assess and amplify the impact of your work.
  • Learn from peers’ experiences and strategies.
  • Explore approaches for effective collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
  • Contribute your insights to inform future policy and practice.

The workshop builds on the collective expertise of participants, fostering mutual learning and strengthening the connections between research and practice. Your contributions will also help shape the BioAgora project’s broader goal of engaging stakeholders—policymakers, businesses, and citizens alike—in developing pathways for meaningful food system transformation.

Whether you’re a researcher or practitioner in agroecology, your input is vital for driving sustainable food policies in Europe.

The event is free, but registration is required HERE
