BioAgora, in partnership with the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research (NINA), announces a funding call for capacity development initiatives under the Science-Policy-Society Interface (SPSI).
This funding opportunity, presented by BioAgora, supports initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between scientific research, policymaking and societal actors, with a focus on biodiversity and ecological transition. By fostering collaboration between scientists, policymakers, and key societal actors, this call seeks to empower transformative change that contributes to the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030.
Key Details:
- Total Available Funding: €350,000
- Maximum Grant Amount per Project: €175,000
- Project Duration: Start from May 2025, with completion by December 2026
- Application Deadline: 27th January at 21:00 CET
The call invites proposals for innovative capacity development activities that enhance collaboration across the science-policy-society interface. Projects should focus on training boundary spanners, co-learning methodologies, and addressing systemic and policy-side challenges in biodiversity conservation. Preference will be given to proposals that promote transdisciplinary approaches and incorporate diverse socio-cultural perspectives from across Europe.
