The workshop titled “Co-Creating an Inclusive European Science Service for Biodiversity: Protecting the Wadden Sea’s Treasures” provided vital insights into the challenges of marine biodiversity protection, working together to find policy solutions that balance conservation goals and stakeholder needs.

This interactive workshop, designed by BioAgora researchers Kata Fodor (ESSRG), Karmen Czett (ESSRG) and Jan Claas-Dajka (HIFMB), let participants dive into the complex challenges surrounding the protection of the Wadden Sea’s biodiversity. Participants assumed the roles of key stakeholder groups, collaborating to develop policy solutions that reconcile the conservation of marine ecosystems with the needs of local communities and businesses.
