The European Biodiversity Partnership under HE Biodiversa+ recently announced a new transnational research call on “Biodiversity and Transformative Change” (BiodivTransform). This call supports the Flagship Programme “Supporting Societal Transformation for the Sustainable Use and Management of Biodiversity” and aims to generate actionable knowledge to halt and reverse biodiversity decline.
The call is open to interdisciplinary projects aiming to understand and drive transformation processes that safeguard biodiversity. The call is open to all environments and geographic areas, focusing on transformative change as defined by IPBES.

Full Proposals Deadline: Early April 2025
Consortia must include teams from at least three countries participating in the call, with at least two from EU Member States or Associated Countries. Proposals will be evaluated based on their fitting to the call, their novelty, impact, scientific excellence, quality of implementation, and stakeholder engagement. Projects must be transnational, inter- and transdisciplinary.
